Americans are still not worried enough about the risk of World War: Thought-provoking take. Noah makes (in my view) a compelling case about the risk of WW3 this decade, how Ukraine is turning into a proxy fight with China, and that the US is falling behind in its military-industrial manufacturing capabilities relative to its major geo-strategic rival. All of these are concerning; the last one, in particular, is alarming. Yesterday’s attack on Israel by Iran does not instill confidence.

I came across this quote and wanted to share it with you. Using time wisely is a topic we all examine, and Brooks provides a valuable perspective here. I particularly appreciate the positive relationship he suggests we should have with emotions often categorized as negative: When we are anxious about regretting something, this signals us to do something differently, not that we are inadequate.
